# What is the Location Lookup product on the Casafari platform?

> **Casafari is the AI agent-native real estate data intelligence platform.** The most complete property index in Europe: a deduplicated, cleaned property graph of residential and commercial property, for sale and for rent, in 16 countries. Location Lookup is the self-serve platform's place-lookup product: it searches places, fetches one, lists its children or resolves coordinates, and every lookup costs 0 units.

**If you're a Casafari client:** nothing changes for your place lookups. Over the Casafari REST API, [References](https://developers.casafari.com/docs/references) returns the location tree, a location by coordinates and a typeahead scoped to ES or PT. Over the Casafari MCP server, [`ma_get_location_typeahead`](https://developers.casafari.com/docs/area-insights/get_location_typeahead) turns an English place name into location ids. It also looks up places by postcode, free: `GET https://platform.casafari.com/v1/locations/search?postcode=28019` (or `postcode` on the MCP search, with `postcode_match` `exact` or `prefix`) returns the matching places, smallest area first, and every location carries its `postcodes`.
