# Find commercial plots in Germany by stated use

> **Casafari is the AI agent-native real estate data intelligence platform.** The most complete property index in Europe: a deduplicated, cleaned property graph of residential and commercial property, for sale and for rent, in 16 countries. Every property is one record with its full price and market history. [How the property graph is built](/docs/property-graph).

**For developers at chains and site-selection vendors who need land for a commercial building in Germany.** Germany, commercial plots: search_plots and get_plot return plots of land for a commercial building with a commercial-use level and its quote, never premises.

> How do I search plots of land in Germany for a commercial building and read how far their text allows it?

## What is the problem?

A chain or a developer needs land in Germany for a commercial building and wants to know, per plot, how far the property's own text says a commercial building can go, with the quote, before anyone reads a plan.

## How does it work?

1. Call `search_plots` ([tool](https://developers.casafari.com/docs/claro/search_plots)) or `POST /v1/claro/plots/search` ([operation](https://developers.casafari.com/docs/rest/claro/search-plots)) with criteria as data: Länder, municipalities, postcodes, plot type, operation, plot area, sale price and price per m², keywords in the property's own words, and `commercial_use`.
2. Choose the `commercial_use` levels. The default is `zoned_commercial` (GE, GI, MK, MU stated), `zoned_mixed_or_special` (MI, SO, MD stated: check the plan) and `commercial_use_stated` (commercial use stated as allowed or suitable, no class: read the quote). Send `"all"` or any list to include `building_land_use_not_stated`, `residential_only_stated`, `zoned_leisure_special`, `not_building_land_stated` or `not_stated`.
3. Page with `limit` and `offset`; order with `sort`.
4. Open one plot with `get_plot` ([tool](https://developers.casafari.com/docs/claro/get_plot)) or `GET /v1/claro/plots/{id}` ([operation](https://developers.casafari.com/docs/rest/claro/get-plot)) for its data, level, `fact_sources` (each fact with its quote), an excerpt, the agency's link and the other agencies advertising it in `also_listed_by`.

```
curl https://platform.casafari.com/v1/claro/plots/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CASAFARI_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"criteria": {"commercial_use": ["zoned_commercial", "commercial_use_stated"]}}'
```

## What do you get?

One result per plot however many agencies advertise it, each with its commercial-use level and the quote it rests on, `zoning_source` for a stated class (a Flächennutzungsplan is not binding), the facts read from the text (zoning class, serviced, B-Plan, §34/§35, building permit, GRZ, GFZ), an excerpt and the agency's own page as the only link.

## What are the limits?

Germany, commercial plots is a separate set: plots only, never premises, never counted in `matching` or `all_criteria_stated`, never mixed into a premises search. The level is what the property's text says, not a zoning check; coordinates are approximate. Nothing is inferred: a plot whose text says nothing is `not_stated`. The content terms apply as for premises ([terms](https://developers.casafari.com/docs/claro/faq#content-terms)).
